About our city

Zagreb is the capital of Croatia, home to more than 800.000 people, located at country’s north end just 100 miles from the Adriatic Sea. It is situated on the southern slopes of Medvednica Mountain along the banks of the Sava River.  It is largest city and the cultural, economic, sporting and governmental hub of the country as well as the central hub for region’s trade, industry and economy.  Culturally, it is a European city well worth visiting, with its numerous historical monuments and medieval architecture, such as  the Zagreb Cathedral, St Mark's Square, Kaptol and Gradec, Grič cannon, the Petar Preradović Square, also known as the  Cvjetni trg (Flower Square),
